I've created Eataku as an online home for people passionately obsessed with food.

People like me.

I travel a lot. I eat a lot. I cook a lot.

As the Talent Scout for Marvel Comics, my job takes me around the world. While I do thrive on the thrill of constant travel, being on the road and away from home for extended periods of time does take its toll. So when not meeting artists or reviewing portfolios, I keep my batteries charged by exploring the culinary culture and cuisine of whatever city or country I find myself in.

Photos of food. Videos of vineyards. Reviews of restaurants. Recipes for refreshments. This site is now my way of sharing my international epicurean adventures with you.

Enjoy!

Sandwich Sunday - November 27th

From the looks of it here, I know this doesn’t seem like the most appetizing sandwich I’ve come up with, but the flavors worked pretty well, I must say.

So yeah, I went with a Thanksgiving concept today. Why not? Turkey sandwiches are a classic. Just tried to spice mine up a bit.

The key to this baby was taking the turkey skin and crisping it up. I then used the crisp turkey skin sheets like lettuce!

Toasted some “three grain” bread, slathered on some mayo, piled on the leftover, reheated turkey, added some stuffing, laid on the turkey skin “crackling”, and finished it off with a  healthy dose of sambal oelek!

Sambal and skin… that’s how you kick up a turkey sandwich!!
