Possibly my favorite food find in Japan this trip… Torikawa Gyoza, or Chicken Skin Dumplings.
And to be clear, these are not dumplings stuffed with chopped chicken skins. These are large pieces of chicken skin that are stuffed with minced chicken, garlic and scallion… then fried!!
Aren’t they a thing of beauty?!

Chicken skin dumplings are yet another one of the “B-Kyu” street and festival foods that are becoming all the rage in Japan!


They come served four different ways… spicy, with salt & pepper, with ponzu sauce, or with yakitori “tare” or sauce.

I cannot begin to describe how decadently glorious these tasted!!
look really YUMMY…....should try looking out for this if I ever get
Oh god..that looks...sounds to bad/good...would probably...
make these. I HAVE TO. This sounds more delicious than anything.
