I've created Eataku as an online home for people passionately obsessed with food.

People like me.

I travel a lot. I eat a lot. I cook a lot.

As the Talent Scout for Marvel Comics, my job takes me around the world. While I do thrive on the thrill of constant travel, being on the road and away from home for extended periods of time does take its toll. So when not meeting artists or reviewing portfolios, I keep my batteries charged by exploring the culinary culture and cuisine of whatever city or country I find myself in.

Photos of food. Videos of vineyards. Reviews of restaurants. Recipes for refreshments. This site is now my way of sharing my international epicurean adventures with you.

Enjoy!

Kati Roll Throwdown

While not as intense as the Geno’s vs. Pat’s or Rawley’s vs. Super Duper Weenie rivalries, I’ve heard more and more people debating recently about who has the better kati rolls in NYC, the Biryani Cart or Kati Roll Company. So I decided to put their rolls to the test for myself last week. I went basic and got one lamb roll and one chicken tikka roll from each establishment.

The Kati Roll Company’s entry…

And the Biryani Cart’s offering…

After having eaten both, there really is no debate in my mind. Or mouth. At all.

Biryani Cart is the winner, hands down!

From the size and texture of the meat to the spices to the sauces to the toppings to the bread, Biryani tops every possible category. And at HALF the price!! $5.00 for two of their rolls vs. $10.50 at Kati Roll Co.

No contest. What. So. Ever.
