I've created Eataku as an online home for people passionately obsessed with food.

People like me.

I travel a lot. I eat a lot. I cook a lot.

As the Talent Scout for Marvel Comics, my job takes me around the world. While I do thrive on the thrill of constant travel, being on the road and away from home for extended periods of time does take its toll. So when not meeting artists or reviewing portfolios, I keep my batteries charged by exploring the culinary culture and cuisine of whatever city or country I find myself in.

Photos of food. Videos of vineyards. Reviews of restaurants. Recipes for refreshments. This site is now my way of sharing my international epicurean adventures with you.

Enjoy!

Introducing Zombie Dust

Zombie Dust

Last night, at their brewery in Munster, IN, Three Floyds Brewey hosted a launch party for their newest small batch beer, Zombie Dust, a brew with some rather cool comic book connections. ReedPop’s Lance Fensterman explained it best over at his blog, http://www.mediumatlarge.net

“Got some awesome news.  A little something we’ve been “brewing up” in the background.  Did I really say “brewing up”?  I guess I did, but it’s warranted.  A little bit.  See, C2E2, along with C.B. Cebulski, and the fine folks at Three Floyds Brewery are creating a special beer just for the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo.

Called Zombie Dust, it’s a collaboration between Three Floyds, C.B., C2E2, and artist Tim Seeley. The beer’ll feature artwork from Seeley and be available at the CBR Bar at the McCormick Place Hyatt, at Nerd City’s Friday Night Rocktacular, and at a smattering of watering holes throughout Chicagoland including Kroll’s, Weather Mark Tavern, The Publican, and Province.

Zombie Dust is a single-hop pale ale made with Citra hops from Washington State’s Yakima Valley, and it’s officially rolling out tomorrow.  Once CE2 wraps, it’ll then become a permanent fixture in the Three Floyds line-up.

Happiest. Saint. Patrick’s. Day. Ever.”
