Skillet Street Food, Seattle

I got a text from my friend Scott this morning that read, “Skillet food truck is down here on Stewart and Fifth. Fried chicken sandwich is killer.” That was enough for me to put on some pants and leave the hotel for the short three block walk. And now after having had their famed sandwich, I can tell you I’d be happy to walk miles to get another one!

The Fried Chicken Sammy, which is fennel crusted fried chicken with pickled & charred jalapeno aioli and kale on potato bread…

And it came with a wonderful poutine seasoned with herbs…

You can find out where the two trucks will be by visiting http://skilletstreetfood.com, and it turns out they also have a brick & mortar location, the Skillet Diner, at 1400 East Union Street.
